is the soon to be released updated version of their first book! And, I
swear I didn't copy the title!!
Trish just told me about it right now! She says you should bother her
about the ship date. ;-)

After Effects Classroom in a Book - by Adobe Team
The
4.1 version of this book is still VERY helpful if you're just starting
and feel like all the instruction out there is over your head. I did the
first 4 chapters of this book and then went on to more elevated instruction
(such as the books above!) - The 5.0 version is very different - very
good - however a bit more on the complex side. Still, Belief wrote this
book and did an awesome job of it!

The Motion Graphics Problem Solver - by
Trish and Chris Meyer
I
first got this thinking it would be too advanced for me - but Trish and
Chirs do such an excellent job of making advanced things simple and relevant
that I got a ton from it. I highly recommend this one to all.

This is a complete instruction book for After Effects 5.0 - and she, like
me, likes to teach in a full color/project based/real-world type manner

Effects 5.5 Magic
- by Nathan Moody (Editor), Mark Christiansen
These series are pretty cool - I used to get them for Flash. This series
deals with expressions quite a bit and I'm looking forward to exploring
it.
